Exponential stability of discrete-time systems with slowly time-varying delays

Slowly time-varying delays are seldom, but do need to be, considered in the context of discrete-time systems. This paper addresses the exponential stability issue of discrete-time systems with slowly time-varying delays. The basic idea is to transform, by utilizing the switching transformation approach, the original system with slowly time-varying delays into an equivalent switched system with special switching signal. Different types of delays correspond to different types of switching signals, and the stability issue of the original system is converted into that of a switched system. It is the first time that the method of switched homogeneous polynomial Lyapunov function is applied to general delayed systems. Some sufficient exponential stability conditions for the original system are proposed in several situations. It is numerically shown that the conservativeness of the proposed conditions reduces as the degree of the switched homogeneous polynomial Lyapunov function increases.     

Products and transforms of white-noise functionals (in general setting)

Some sharp results about Weiner and Wick products of whitenoise functionals are obtained. Using the inequality of Wick products we show to what extent scaling transformations, translations, and Sobolev differentiations can be performed on white-noise functionals.This work was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Generalized Aluthge transformation on -hyponormal operators

We shall introduce a generalized Aluthge transformation on -
hyponormal operators and also, by using the Furuta inequality, we shall give several properties on this generalized Aluthge transformation as further extensions of some results of Aluthge.

硼酸溶液中氯柱硼镁石的溶解及相转化动力学

对氯柱硼镁石（2MgO•2B2O3•MgCl2•14H2O）在4.5％H3BO3水溶液40 ℃的溶解及相转化过程进行了动力学研究.对不同时间取出的液相的化学分析及不同阶段分离固相的鉴定结果表明,该复盐在溶解阶段出现与前所报导不同的同步溶解，最终产物是库水硼镁石（2MgO•3B2O3•15H2O）.提出了库水硼镁石的形成条件和溶解及相转化动力学机理，利用单纯形优化法配合Runge-Kutta微分方程组数值解法对实验数据进行处理，给出了转化结晶动力学方程.     

Formation of sol-gel nanostructured mullite by additions of fluoride ion

Summary The subject of this study was to investigate the effect of fluoride ions addition on the temperature of sol gel mullite formation based on the hypotheses that the presence of fluoride ions can decrease the temperature of mullite formation (in respect to common 980°C, in sol-gel processing). Polymeric sols were prepared by mixing TEOS and aluminum nitrate nanohydrate and by adding fluoride ions (from 2 to 5 mass%). DTA, TG, XRD and SEM were used for characterisation of mullite gel and crystalline mullite. The experimental results confirmed that the addition of fluoride ions decrease the temperature of mullite formation up to 890°C for the fluorine concentration of 3.5 mass%. Experimental results showed that the temperature of mullite formation is not a simple function of the fluoride ion content. The mechanism of fluorine effect was discussed in terms of the gelling process, gel structure and the phase separation before the mullite formation.     

Some non conventional devices with temperature control design and application

The development of a temperature control system based on semiconductor thermobatteries has been used in a set of devices for studying the martensitic transformation. The devices range from a simple stage for an optical microscope to a more elaborated system as a differential scanning calorimeter [1]. Here the attention is placed in this last system. The general problems of the temperature scanning calorimetry are reviewed from the signal theory point of view and the solutions applied to our system discussed. Some measurements are shown as an example of its application.     

Structural Features of Solid Phases and Topology of Phase Diagrams

The paper considers model phase diagrams of binary and ternary systems involving transformations (transitions) of phase equilibria. The relationship between the type of structural solidstate transformation and the type of phase diagram is shown. Topological series of phase diagrams of systems with continuous and limited types of solid solutions are considered, including phase diagrams with polymorphic transitions between intermediate solid phases of variable composition.
